Carter Kerber is Optimize You's newest Physician Assistant. He is PA-C, BLS, and ACLS certified and currently working toward his RMSK-C and CES certifications. Carter began his career as an EMT, providing critical care in time-sensitive situations. After 3.5 years of service, he moved on to working in the ER, where he was taught to be calm and methodical, even in tough situations. Carter then attended and completed PA school and rotation training at Midwestern University in Glendale, where he found his passion in helping others reach their full physical and mental potential in performance medicine. Originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Carter developed a strong foundation for physical fitness by growing up playing sports. Outside of work, he loves going to the gym, playing basketball, and especially loves hiking and snowboarding.
"Helen Keller once said 'Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.' To me, this is an invitation to explore and experience the world outside of our comfort zone. While doing so, there is always the risk of injury. My goal is to help patients maintain movement, function, and recovery so physical limitations play less of a role in living their lives to the fullest."
